Who is NLB?

Hi, I’m Nicole, a 26-year-old oil painter living and creating in Charlotte, North Carolina. I’m drawn to the slow, thoughtful nature of oil painting and the way it allows me highlight the beauty around us.

“I have nature and art and poetry, and if that is not enough, what is enough?”

I heard this quote on a recent visit to Amsterdam, during an unplanned wander into the Van Gogh Museum. It stayed with me. I try to carry its meaning into my life and my work, because it captures exactly how I feel.
